SPEECH BY THE FIRST LADY, H.E. MRS. REBECCA AKUFFO ADDO,   AT THE 7TH BCI GHANA  WALK FOR THE CURE, KOFORIDUA, SATURDAY OCTOBER 14, 2017

On Sunday 19th March, 2017, Breast Care International (BCI) and Peace and Love Hospitals (PLHs) conducted a Free Breast Cancer Education and Clinical Screening for the people of Kwahu Tafo at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Today a record forty thousand health-conscious participants walked in the BCI Ghana Walk for the Cure, increasing awareness about breast cancer, and keeping fit, while celebrating survivorship. Held in the Eastern regional capital, Koforidua, this is the seventh year running, with this year’s event believed to be the largest of its kind in Africa.

Newmont Ghana Women and Allies Network have donated forty five thousand, seven hundred and forty two   cedis,  (45,742) to lead anti-breast cancer campaigner, Breast Care International, BCI, at a short, but impressive ceremony at the Peace and Love Hospital,Baatsona, on  the Spintex road, Accra.

Krobo Girls Presbyterian Senior High School in Krobo-Odumase in the Eatsern Region has received their share of the Breast Care International (BCI) and Peace and Love
