The Biggest Nationwide Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign (BREAST CARE INTERNATIONAL GHANA WALK FOR THE CURE) will be hosted in the Eastern Regional Capital, Koforidua on Saturday October 14, 2017.

Since 2011, Breast Care International (BCI) has been organizing the BCI Walk for the Cure, an annual event to create breast cancer awareness which attracts more than 25,000 people each year.  The 2016 event which took place in the Ashanti Region attracted about 40, 000 people including students from the second cycle institutions, organized groups etc.

BCI’s goal is to reduce the number of women who present with late stage breast cancer and increase breast cancer awareness in Ghana through community outreach and education. The organization is a prominent and well-known agent for breast cancer control and awareness in Ghana. Over the past fifteen years, BCI has traveled throughout Ghana to offer breast cancer education followed by free clinical breast examinations conducted by trained nurses.
