BCI to host World Cancer Day 2026 in Ghana

Breast Care International (BCI) will commemorate World Cancer Day 2026 with a series of impactful advocacy, education, and screening activities aimed at promoting cancer awareness and early detection. On February 3, 2026, BCI will organize a Senior High School Outreach and Community Engagement Program at Tepa Senior High School, where breast cancer education, awareness sessions, and clinical screening will be provided for students, staff, and members of the surrounding community. The program will focus on cancer prevention, early detection, and the reduction of stigma.

The World Cancer Day activities will culminate on February 4, 2026, with a Health Forum at Kumasi Technical University, bringing together health professionals, reverend ministers, students, and the general public for expert discussions on cancer prevention, control strategies, and equitable access to quality care. These activities will be carried out in collaboration with Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast, Teva Pharmaceutical and Peace and Love Hospitals, whose support continue to reinforce BCI’s commitment to people-centered cancer education and care.
