BCI, in collaboration with Peace and Love Hospitals, inaugurated the Peace and Love Hospital Survivors Association (PALSA) with a membership of over 900 from different parts of Ghana and beyond. PALSA brings together those who have survived breast cancer to serve as role models, especially to newly diagnosed patients, and educates the public on early detection and treatment while demystifying the myths, stigma and fear surrounding the disease.

PALSA collaborates with community nurses in the peer-nurse navigation program — Helping Others through Personal Experience (HOPE) — to support newly diagnosed patients through their treatment journey and reduce treatment default.
